gonintendo.com — It seems as though someone at Sports Illustrated Kids has gotten wind of the Nintendo Wii's launch date. The article also accurately reflects the PS3's launch date of November 17th (which has been OFFICIALLY announced.) Of course, this Wii launch date has not been made official by Nintendo yet. Could Sports Illustrated know something we don't?

I've heard the "People paid $X,XXX for Xbox 360 bundle so they'll pay $600 for a PS3" argument a bunch of times. But if stores were able to get $600, $800, or $1000 for the Xbox 360.... won't they just be charging $800, $1200 or $1500 for the PS3?

November 1, 2006:In retrospect, it looks as though this information turned out to be inaccurate. Although, it's only off by thirteen days. The official North American launch date for Wii has since been set to November 19, 2006.
