What happened to "A game for all ages"? It's in the title. If Nintendo can't appeal to me then they shouldn't try to come across as being everything to everyone. No I don't have a 360, and yes I do realize that WASD and a mouse is the best way to play FPS. The fact is that everyone is comparing the wii to the ps3 and the 360, but that is like comparing apples to oranges. They are targeting different markets.I haven't used the wii controller yet but I think I would get tired of holding my arm out like that playing FPS, I agree with you GuyNextDoor. Of course this is all speculation. It seems as though for the moment, the console FPS guys will be left out in the cold for yet another generation of console gaming.
If some of the rumors are true screens won't do us any good. I'm hearing things that sound fairly reliable about 3D projection technology. If that's even close to the truth we won't be able to tell how it looks until we see it in person. Which begs the question, how are they going to set up demos for this in stores? You'll have people swinging their arms around, smashing into people, which would actually be pretty funny. Sorry, ma'am I was just doing the hula.
@Ireland - Did you even READ the damn article? If you did, you'd understand the genious that is this controller:"It's a remarkable experience. Instead of passively playing the games, with the new controller you physically perform them. You act them out. ... The third game [we played], and probably the most fun, is also the simplest: tennis. The controller becomes a racket, and I'm smacking forehands and stroking backhands. The sensors are fine enough that you can scoop under the ball to lob it, or slice it for spin. At the end, I don't so much put the controller down as have it pried from my hands."That's what's up with the Wii-mote. The fact that a writer from Time had to have the controller pried from his hands shows the power of this design.
Honestly, that's really cool of IGN to do that for them. Sure, we wanna see the videos, but I think that seeing these videos in combination with the speeches that people are going to be giving at E3 is where the true awe comes into play.
Lucasarts is developing a Jedi game. The console war is over. Nintendo has won.
That is because Nintendo has an actual identity and focus, rather than being a low-budget clone of PC gaming, which is the Xbox 360 and what the PS has lately become. Besides that, Sony seems to be having serious hardware difficulties! But I still hate name Wii, and until it is changed, I will continue to reference Hard Gay every time it is mentioned. You see, I did it again just now.
Wii is a lot better than Super Nintendo
No it's not. And it's not better than Revolution, except in Japan, where they can't pronounce Revolution.

Nintendos time has finally come again!

@Paiguy - Yes, you might think that's too much to pay for a game, but I know that I've gotten my whole $30 out of it.
