revolutionreport.com — Revolution Report has spoke exclusively in an interview with ATI about the Nintendo Revolution's GPU, code-named Hollywood. New details emerge about the GPU's development, how heat will be a factor and release window. A must read.

Yup, dodge after dodge. The only things I got out of this interview is that they're concerned about heat dissipation & aren't tied to traditional PC interconnect rules. We already knew the revolution won't be a leaf blower like the '360, nothing new to see here, move along...And Nintento is doing a fine job of keeping everything under wraps. When is release date??

Man, alot of you people have a severe inability to read between the lines. No, of couse he wasn't going to sit there and give out details specs, but there is some interesting information we can infer from what he DID say.Firstly, the GPU is not based off Flipper - which immediately dispells all speculation that the Revolution is just a GameCube with a higher clockspeed and more memory.Secondly, many people are writing off the Revolution's potential power due to the size of the console itself. He basically said that the size of the console and heat are not an issue. This can be taken two different ways. Firstly it could be taken to mean that the Revolution will not be very powerful and, as such, won't have major heat requirements. Or you can take the other side of the coin that the Revolution is simply designed in an efficient manner. Since the GPU is developed from scratch, things like heat are addressed right from the start. Also the 2006 release date is reiterated for Revolution compared to PS3's mounting rumors of a major delay.Nothing HUGE, but some interesting tidbits... it was a good interview because it tried to ask questions that he could answer while at the same time providing some interesting information. It's better than having an interview that consists of:"Tell us the specs""Sorry, can't say anything about that""Will the graphics be as good as Xbox 360?""Sorry, can't say anything about that"etc

I'm not going to digg this. While I'd really like to hear what ATI is planning, this interview is completely vague and non technical. It doesn't even really address any interesting questions except timetable.

"""" When talking to programmers they general consensus is that if the Gamecube had a bit more RAM, it would blow XBOX away""""But it didn't... So what is the point...? The logic is odd. So if the PS2 had a better GPU it would blow the XBOX away? Yeah, ...but the thing is: it DIDN'T. And if the NES had better specs than the XBOX it would blow it away too. BUT IT DIDN'T!

I really wish all console gaming was dead and computer gaming was the official standard of gaming.

Anyone else find it funny that the GPUs for 360 and revolution are made by ATI and the cpus for 360, ps3 and possibly revolution are made by IBM? It seems like companies providing guns for the war.
