As if the trend of hearing of products beginning with 'i' wasn't bad enough. Still it seems a capable console refresh. Wonder how long before Nintendo bring out a whole new handheld, this looks like the last DS refresh.
Totally agree with you DiMo.... Nintendo keeps beating around the bush with stuff like the camera, the microphone and Wifi. The only killer app they need is the Phone!Even if it only did the most basic of phone operations (ie. dialing, phonebook, and text messaging) I'm sure every aging Nintendo fanboy (myself included) would be lining up to buy one. And if they release a Mario game and a brain training game at launch, they'd probably have one of the biggest phone launches in history.Alas, Nintendo does whatever the hell they want without regard to what people say and they're usually not wrong....
wikipedia says : It has been reported that the DSi will utilize region locking for DSi-specific software, since it will provide Internet services tailored individually for each region.[13] In addition, the DSi uses rating-based parental controls, which differ by country.

Actually, the DSi has less battery life than the DS Lite. It's about 1-2 hours shorter than the Lite on every power level.

Just read an article here http://dsiforfree.co.uk/?p=78 about Nintendo urging UK customers to buy early due to possible shortages
