crunchgear.com — Tech Amok took the time to translate the binary on the back and it brought them to Exterminal, which is a ?neat little commentary that I think is at least partially directed at RIAA.? The site also seems to host a bonus track. This really is some pretty neat stuff and Trent Reznor is a fave of mine.

On the ARG site, one of the inmate case files mentions his neighbor being arrested for downloading music off the internet. I think thats what the article was referring to.

I think that since this track is listed as evidence used to hold an "inmate" it could be that this inmate is supposed to be Trent in the future, (since he made the track) heh :PThis Year Zero alternate reality game is pretty bad ass, really fun and totally makes me look at the album in different ways every time I dive into the game and come back out of it.*listening to it again*

I love the moronic people who post crap like computergeek. God you make my day just by giving me a few seconds to laugh at your stupidity. Learn how to type and make some f**king sense, then maybe you will have some credibility.Anyways, despite the fact that someone said we are being "played", think for a second. Trent is still signed to a major label, and with that comes some things he can't control. An anti-piracy warning is on most cds now, it is the RIAA's way of making us think that a warning will prevent this. There are anti-piracy warnings on all DVD's now, and look at how quickly they are turned into Torrents and such. I don't blame Trent for this, I blame the capitalistic record labels that are just trying to scare the general public into lining the execs pockets. It is not the fault of the artist, is the fault of the label. Most indie labels don't have any warnings on their cds. Why you ask? Simple. They are artist-friendly. They are using their label to share music with the people, and often times these labels produce music that is of better quality and substance, not the cookie-cutter manufactured bulls**t that the mainstream labels produce. People need to wake up and realize that the Internet is the future of music, and Trent Reznor is leading the pack of musicians who hopefully start embracing this form of media more than the crap that the labels expect them to dish out.
