You should check out the digital colorization version done by OffColorFilms. The B&W version will always be better but this version is still WELL worth seeing. Of all the DVDs out there for this movie I think this is the best version to buy. You get the color version and the B&W version both digital restored plus you get commentary tracks from one of the guys from MST3KOffColor is a branch of LegendFilms that specializes in digital restoration and colorization of cult movies and they do a lot of these public domain movies. House On Haunted Hill, Carnival of Souls, Little Shop of Horrors, Reefer Madness, and Plane 9 From Outer Space are there best along with NOTLD of course.http://www.legendfilms.net/

I've never actually watched it. Now I have no reason not to.

Standing on its own, the Dawn remake wasn't that bad. But I thought it sucked compared to the original '78 version.

You can get this at the Internet Archive in a varity of sizes and qualities (including MPEG-2). The story is that the copyright was accidently spliced out of the original film strips and so it has no copyright.
