I was okay with their first song that became a hit. Soon thereafter I independently developed an inexplicable loathing for Nickelback. Only several years later did I realize there were many more people like me! I can't explain it, but I sure embrace it.
This reminds me of a story you can either choose to believe or not.. A friend of mine's brother in law gets a call one day and basically gets offered a job playing bass with Hinder right after the first album came out and they (I think?) at that time were supposed to go on tour with Nickleback. Steven (the brother in law) got offered roughly 60k to tour the nation and play with these guys. 60k is serious scrilla considering when you're traveling, all of your expenses like food and clothing are paid for anyways. Steven even took a couple of weeks to consider it but ultimately decided to tell them to f**k off. He happened to be connected to the guy that ended up taking the job and was talking it over with him saying it was the worst choice he ever made. Everyone from Hinder and Nickelback were pretty much the biggest douches. I have a laff everytime I hear Steven tell this story, because it confirms in my head the image placeholders I've already set aside for Kroger and all of his minions.

I still think the US should recall their diplomats in Canada though.

I was enjoying every second of the Olympics until... Nickelback. Now I wish I didn't have ears and detest winter sports. Thanks a lot Canada!

I always uses the "Flies like s**t" analogy when someone says something stupid like this.
