HDMI is awesome, why the hate?

The reason they need HDMI is because without it HDCP content won't be able to be played on the screens. Sucks that it's that way but anything that doesn't support HDCP will only get a lower quality signal. Obviously Apple want's to be able to display any Blueray or HD-DVD content available.

Multiple audio cables for better sound??? For analog sound yeah but pure digital such as HDMI or even coax digital there is no improvement in having separate cables unless you like dealing with a lot of cables for some reason.

Because you can digg an article without ever opening it and a lot of people obviously do that. The rumor submissions that say "may" instead of "will" probably exist, they just don't get as many of those blind diggs, and so they don't show up on the front page as often.

HDMI > DVI - Better connector (smaller and doesn't get caught) - Higher bandwidth (slightly) than Dual-link DVI - 8 Channel audio as wellBut both DO support HDCP it's just that most monitors that use DVI don't support HDMIRead up before you make assertions.
