they've already perished. they are bound together in name only. most Republicans don't even like McCain, recognizing he's a washed up used car salesman without any real talent or leadership abilities. not to mention he'll do or say anything for a vote. Gdub broke the Republican party AND the conservative movement on the Iraq war. As he's flushed just about all of his support down the toilet, its been Bush's war (and ONLY Bush's war) for the past 3 years or so. But Bush is a Republican, and the voters aren't going to forget that. Come December McCain will be little more than a fading memory.
