msnbc.msn.com — Remember all the pundits laughing at the notion of impeaching president Bush? Remember all the pollsters refusing to even ask that question in their polls? Well, a majority now approve of Democratic plans to impeach president George W. Bush. 28% think it should be a high priority, 23% think it should be a lower priority, while 44% disapprove.

Yeah, it HAS to be more than 51%. I don't know *anyone* who thinks he should be able to get away with rights-trampling, constitution-eroding, oath-breaking, country-invading, torturing, signing-statement law evasions, outright lies (stay the course? what?), not to mention he admits he gets his advice from an imaginary friend...Guy is a fruitcake.

@RojoActually if they had taken a poll of Democrats/Liberals it would have been closer to 80% wanting impeachment.Personally I don't want Bush impeached until they can take out Bush and Cheney at the same time. And the more Nixon administration we put in jail along the way, the better.Expect a LOT more Republicans going to jail if the Dems take the house. Once it happens, they won't be able to block the investigations anymore.

1. Clinton was impeached. 2. If by "that" you mean the Constitution, you are correct.

Impeaching a President isn't done through a poll. The House of Representatives will never do it to President Bush.

The conversations of a Bush impeachment reminds me of the Alice in Wonderland quote where the Cat says, "We're all mad here." That can be taken two ways: Mad = Angry or Mad = Insane. I prefer the latter when I try to make sense of these posts. With respect to these "Diggs" I like what Alice said, "It would be so nice if something made sense for a change."

As the Dems were so quick to point out during Clinton's impeachment hearings, a president can only be impeached for committing "high crimes, or high misdemeanors," so maybe these people can tell me: 1. what "high crime, or high misdemeanor" Bush committed and, 2. which crimes and misdemeanors are considered high and which are considered low. In my admittedly rudimentary training in criminal justice I understand there are only two types of crimes: felonies (punishable by over a year in prison) and misdemeanors (punishable by up to a year in jail).

Good reply, but you are probably dealing with someone who gets their "news" from Fox "News", and thus, someone not living in reality. The fact that they think WMDs have been found shows that they are listening to talk radio and/or watching Fox "News".In other words, as Colbert says, "Reality has a liberal bias" - so Fox "News" won't report it; they will instead report the world as they want to see it. That's something even children would call lies, but what Rethuglicans like to call "avoiding the lib'rul media".

Um, can you read? There have been several examples cited here, as well as a book mentioned. Try reading up on it.
