Avast rocks, I've saved a few infected systems with it. Can't beat a good boot scan.

I recommend using AVG free AND Anti-Vir. (How You Say???)You can use Anti-Vir as a second on demand scanner by disabling Anti-Vir's resident virus guard during installation to prevent it from interfering with AVG. Anti-Vir offers slightly better detection rates than either AVG or Avast! but the lack of email scanning is why I keep AVG as my main scanner. Using 2 of the very best free scanners and a multitude of online virus scanners (Norton, Mcafee, Panda, F-secure, Kaspersky, Trend Micro) keeps me pretty well protected. :-/

AVG has been the best A/V for years. Anyone who believes Snorton or McCrappy is better doesn't belong in the tech industry.

AVG or Avast, the difference is small, both really good antivirus programs.I'm using Avast though, has good support (devs. active in forums).

i don't understand the buzz around this??putting things simply:"if you wanna have problems with viruses and get crippled with it, then install AVG"this is the worst anti virus out thereif you consider going free:get AVAST or bitdefender much much better....avg is totally crap and misses a lot of detectionsif you wanna go pro solutions please consider: NOD32 or kasperskythese are the best there is.proof?go to review sites , and don't listen to those fools here that knows nothing about
