there is an inherent problem in who is to decide what is a useful comment. This is an opinon forum. "Me too" is not a bad post. If you removed such post, then how are you supposed to gauge people opinions. You NEED posts like "that sucks" "thats awesome" "I like it" Even trolls are neccessary. If you are too lazy to read past them, WTF are you doing on a forum. BTW, Gtalk rulez!!AIM is the sux0rsPeople use MSN?
if i remmember correctly..Google just hired the author of GAIM.. and I read somewhere they are actually trying to adhere to IM protocols such as jabber. And i believe once Gtalk gets to that level where it can integrate with all the other IM clients more people are going to flock to it. Cos frankly I like most people on here, have friends that are on different IM clients, AIM, YAHOO, MSN etc.. And IMHO its really annoying to have all these different IM clients just to keep up with friends who are stuck in their old ways and havent caught up yet. So im def looking forward to that day.For now i stick with gtalk and um slowly trying to convert my friends.....okay now u comment soldiers.. go ahead and bury this!!!
I have 2 computers running XP and Ubuntu on one and OSX on the Mac. Adium is a pretty light IM with the most customizability; and if there were ports for Windows and Linux I'd be using that instead... I've used different setups and OSX offers just what I need with minimal complication.Get a real opinion.
