mail.google.com — "Now Gmail can check for the mail you receive at your other email accounts. You can retrieve your mail (new and old) from up to five other email accounts and have them all in Gmail." In limited release, but coming soon. Looks cool!

"The difference is you can now get gmail to retrieve your years of old email from your other email accounts."Ah, now that's an answer that adds some value. That is nice. The responses about using accounts that don't offer forwarding doesn't make sense to me because how many email services won't forward, but do allow POP access? I haven't seen that.So it will be nice to bring in older emails, but going forward, is there any other value add to this?

My friend and I made this site that does a similar thing, but it also handles IMAP.http://www.grabmail.org*Note, we didn't finish the message handling since we ran out of time before the semester ended (we were doing this for a class), but it will check your mail and show you your messages - attachments don't work either. If you're interested in working on the project with us, email us from the "Credits" page.
