zapcult.com— So iTunes 7 has hit, and overall I?m pretty impressed? been hunting round the app to see if I could spot any new features that, in typical Apple style, were left to users to figure out.Well I found one!!

why don't you calm down and re-install version 6 then ?(I really have hard time with those PC guys using sleek free software on their 300$ cardboard boxes and becoming insulting since the free thing is displeasing them)
@nogoodreasonThe easiest way to get around the DRM for music is to burn what you buy to audio CDs and re-import them into mp3 or another more compatible format (so they work on other mp3 players). Unfortunately that won't solve the problem of the low bitrate, but most people can't tell the difference anyway. And with regard to pricing, I've never found an album in stores or online for cheaper than in the iTunes Music Store. One more thing--artists don't make much on the sale of their music, whether it's digital or on actual CDs either; most of their income comes from concert ticket sales.
I have been wanting this feature for a long time. I never figured they would actually implement it though :) One question I have for other people is has anyone seen if this info is gathered in their ipod? When I skip a song on my nano the skip count is not incremented. I am assuming that we will need a firmware upgrade to take advantage of this. Or is this a feature that is only going to be available on the new ipods?
Has anyone else notice that if you try to move itunes from the default folder in XP's start menu, it reinstalls itself exactly where it thinks it ought to be?BS man. Weak.
iTunes is indeed free. You have every reason to moan, particularly if you own an iPod. Mine was anything but free and iTunes is rather essential to its operation.I own a late model iMac G3 (500 MHz). iTunes 6 was quite snappy on that. I downloaded v7, not expecting Coverflow to work. It does. However, it appears to me that iTunes is at risk of becoming too bloated for its own good as it now takes at least ten seconds to switch to it, change track, and continue writing this reply.Maybe its time I bit the bullet and bought a new Mac...

This doesn't look like it'll work on my 3G iPod. Is this feature only for the latest generation?
