Thanks! We're in the process of retelling our story and streamlining the content so it's easier to "get". Once users see how it works, things go well, but the challenge for us is making that process happen to users the first time they see the site.

I was engaged for four years, 1000 miles apart, before we got married. Long distance relationships absolutely can work. I have heard this said a few different ways in a few different quotes, but this was always good to remember: "Distance is to Love as Wind is to Fire. It extinguishes the small, but kindles the great."

You pretty much hit the nail on the head.. you need to be planning, in a relatively short period of time, to be in the same place. Once you are sure you want to be with the person a plan is simply a necessity! I'm in a long distance relationship now, and it feels positive, wonderful and absolutely worth it. Take away our plan to be together permanently though, and I'd be completely miserable and unsure of everything.All that being said, the article is about long distance business partnerships, which is a different beast altogether.
