it's really fun to watch birds fly into the beam of a concentrated solar array.... Poof ! no more bird, just a little dust.

that design could easily be improvised to generate more power

It is possible to slowly discharge a capacitor.

I doubt a bird or anything else coming into contact with that would like it.The design is really not pleasing to the eye, has no good surfaces for logos or advertising. Would still be an eyesore on most commercial or residential locations. They need to be able to fit more in an upscale downtown and neighborhood better.Hopefully they include a smart grid-tie inverter or you are looking at frustration.C'mon folks. Beauty AND functionaly! Ugly gets you nowhere.Look at Helixwind (for design only as they are expensive, do not offer micro-micro designs, to not have a UL Certified Grid-Tie system...yet),---Support micro-micro wind/solar/etc devices with Grid-Tie technology.

An interesting concept. Wind power would be a fantastic facility for environmentally friendly properties like at http://www.orchardnorth.co.uk .
