blog.washingtonpost.com — A tool for exploiting an unpatched security hole in Mac OS X systems has been developed and until earlier today was being distributed through an online forum that caters to Mac hackers, Security Fix has learned.

Yes I have a notebook....not a laptop....don't you see the difference? I like Reese Mini's...not Reese Cup's.I'm not sure if the point you were trying to make "trojan not a virus" carries any meaning here. Securiy risk are security risk.""willey nilley' like the lemmings that are the WinBlows community"? wtf? Don't like Windows users? So you have like 3 friends and none of them are professionals I gather. Personally I think Macs are cool and its great you don't have to reboot randomly....maybe I should be haten on my buddies with Macs cause they use them. Come to think of it....one guy drives a Nissan Maxima....and I have an Audi....I don't know why we're even friends now that you've enlightened me with your witty educated feedback.Maybe if there were more programs available for Mac people would download more programs from the intranet. Personally I like being able to find just about anything I need for my Vista Ultimate (oh no I said it!) notebook for free. The story also said it packages itself with legitimate Mac programs and runs without requiring user and pass.regardless you made a good point about idiots opening programs they have no idea what they are or where they came from. But isn't that the problem with most people...being idiots?

Why would you bury this comment? Did anyone even read the article?

noahhoward. Of course not. That's the same with every operating system INCLUDING windows 95 though. Just enable a firewall and its go for launch. However, here back on earth, bugs in client programs like safari may cause hackers to run code. And let me tell you, there are lots of those.

You do know that an unprotected (no firewall) and not fully patched Windows XP system connected directly to the internet (DMZ) is compromised in about 5 minutes, right?http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/technolog ...

I agree; in your case, ignorance, compounded with goofy logic, is definitely not bliss.

The chances of most security holes affecting 1% of users of any OS is close to none. Most of them (the holes) are obscure (to say the least).
