mail.com — My Webwill is set to test launch in Sweden and the United States this month and go live in Britain and Germany in the beginning next year. Users can set up a digital will with directions on what should happen to their e-mail and social network accounts after they die.

I've thought about this many times -- a way to notify groups and networks that I'm deceased when I pass on. There's always the "timed release" email that you can postpone on a weekly or monthly basis (as your life continues), but eventually you're gonna forget to postpone it and you'll find yourself quoting Mark Twain.

There's also this similar service that emails your family/friends after your death:http://www.lastpost.com/

I want my e-mail and facebook accounts burned up and launched into space.

Sorry, but my last online wish involving a Swedish service has NOTHING to do with my email account.

Yeah, I had a friend of mine died back in April...about two weeks after he got his mom to start using Facebook. She was so broken by the whole thing, she wouldn't let go of his Blackberry thinking he might call saying it was an awful mistake. It's weird to notify FB that someone is dead...but it's better than having him keep showing up on her profile and making her re-live that nightmare all over again.
