Try taking a course in labour market economics or something of the sort so that you actually understand why superstars get paid what they do. It has a lot to do with associated risks and the percentage of the population who are both willing and capable to do the jobs they do in proportion to the size of the market. Superstars are just a bi-product of our desire for decent entertainment and the fact that there are so few talented people willing to take the initial risks involved in becoming a superstar. Whereas to some one who is intelligent enough becoming a doctor is a relatively rewarding low risk occupation. If you are sick of superstars being super-rich start enjoying C movies and s**tty music and start convincing other people that they should do the same as that's the only way that you are going to get rid of them.

And where the hell is the Z06? It is faster and cheaper than every car on that list. Oh wait, if it isn't outrageously expensive it can't be a supercar right?

People may have been just as entertained, but now there are more people to entertain. More more demand + supply that has not changed nearly as much = higher salaries. Also you best bet as to understanding the factors that can limit some markets to one country (Re your Cuba-USA question) would be macro economics.

Yes I was hoping they would mention some of the more revolutionary cars such as the Tesla Roadster. Instead of an updated design of last years model that still gets 24mpg. Atleast I give them props for listing most of the MPGs for the models, I am sure a year or two ago this wouldn't have been mentioned.

If you're interested in learning more about Mercedes', try checking out the largest Mercedes forum in the world; www.mbworld.org ?Oddly enough, the most attractive information there (IMO) are the owners that want to mod their cars. For example, the SL65 owners that are pushing so much power (more than 800lb-ft torque) that their transmissions can't handle it.

Indeed they are.The Maserati was on Entourage about a year ago, so I would suspect that some of the cars are out in America too.Lazy Business Week filling out a, already crap, feature.
