who wants to bet one of their IPs will include all the features they wanted to include in GTA IV, but couldn't because of limitations of the X360? (thats a quote from a developer, not me) I bet theres months of work there just stagnating after MS bribed them to make it multi-platform.I don't blame MS, whatever it takes to try and make you business successful, although I don't really see how adding debt to your already huge debt actually helps. I know, I know... you have to spend money to make money, but they aren't making nearly as much as they've been spending and they have been at it what? like 7 years now at least? Time to stop going into the red fellas, or there might not be an X720. At least Sony has the profit of the two most successful consoles of all time to keep themselves a float.
yea, it's the difference between a paid contractual agreement, which is a formal business transaction, and getting someone to act favorably in your interests through good will, which is an informal exchange of favors. the latter doesn't actually require the other party to repay your favor, but usually if you are generous to someone most will repay in kind.with today's business environment though, the latter is very rare. there are a few companies that still try to foster good will through generosity and contributing back to the community, like IBM and Google, but this isn't exactly something that Microsoft or Sony are known for.
Must...not...feed...troll...First, learn to use the English language effectively. Second, Sony losing millions is nothing compared to the billions that Microsoft has lost over the life of both its consoles.
Well, Sony is a 58 billion dollar company...Microsoft is a 270 billion dollar company. Microsoft has deeper pockets, and isn't losing $600 per unit sold. Fortunately, there are tons of people who despise Microsoft, and tons who despise Sony. The only thing MS doesn't have is 12 year old J-pop fanboys. Technology is cool, but these "who can lose the most amount of money trying to undermine the competition" battles are ridiculous.

And if Microsoft didn't have the Xbox division that 51.12 billion would be like 60 billion. Microsoft's profitable business is Software not the Xbox.
