ps3fanboy.com — The new PS3 SDK drastically lowers OS memory usage, allows developers to integrate custom soundtracks, supports the psp as a second display and has a screenshot utility for gamers. Amazing news, can't wait till we see developers supporting these features.

Don't exit PS2 games when they are reading or writing to the memory card.

... yes, I know that's obvious, but nreynolds began his post with:"I think this makes developers able to implement custom soundtracks without taking a hit on memory."Which is incorrect, hence my reply.

I don't know I can think of several uses for it. Any game that involves switching to another screen to do something. For example in an RPG all your inventory could constantly be displayed on PSP or in a FPS like Rainbow Six having the map constantly available. And I'm sure their are people more clever than I.

There are stands for the PSP for less than ?5. Or you could improvise and lean it up against something.

what i dont get is ppl have no complaints about spending like $200 bucks for rockband controllers but will complain about $170 for a psp that does much more. don't get me wrong, i don't own one, but only because few ps3 games use it. i dream of oblivion allowing my gf to play a whisp with the psp while i play the hero.

Wow custom soundtracks. They finally implemented something that was available on the first Xbox years ago. Way to go Sony!

Ya well, at least it's better than the Wii - which doesn't even have a hard drive.
