Yes, I did read the article..and it's still old news. Regardless of when it was updated, everyone is aware of the emulation features. But thank you.

"You really think Sega would let Nintendo emulate Genesis or Saturn? Your dreaming. The licensing fees for that would up the price of the console $50 a pop all by itself."Sounds to me like it's just a matter of adding software-based Genesis, GG/SMS, Saturn and Dreamcast emulators into the Revolution's operating system. Considering the system's IBM G5-based CPU and ATI-graphics card, I'm sure it can easily handle emulating all of them with software, including Dreamcast. And since this will do nothing but bring more revenue and exposure to Sega, I don't see why it would cost NINTENDO anything to do this. Rather, Sega should be paying Nintendo for this.I wouldn't be surprised if you at least see Genesis and GG/SMS roms with a software emulator wrapper, packaged as small Gamecube roms. Think of it as if they turned Sonic Mega Collection into a rom.

It all comes down to what nintendo says guys anything else is speculation. People file patents for ridiculus things even weather control machines have been patented.Nintendo says they don't want to compete with Sony or Microsoft. In order to do that nintendo will have to create a gaming machine not similar to any others out in the market. Nintndo might not have the beef in their console but they have it where it counts. Why would nintendo research VR for over 2 decades if they did not intend to use it on some practical application like Virtual Boy. In my personal opinion Nintendo will out sell revolution and sony as a company will fall within 2 years due to falling profits and overpricing on most of their products.Nintendo + VR +controller = Far out

let's not be so harsh on these seemingly old stories....I know you have to cut down on it somewhat, but there's always the reporting feature and a gentle reminder. And some of us aren't going to digg through the ENTIRE queue for older stories....but my opinion and five bucks will buy you a starbucks mocha...so whatev.

This thing is two days old, how is this incredibly old, as you keep deeming it?
exodinJan 15, 2006
Because other companies besides Nintendo using the emulation in the Revolution was actually revealed 28 days ago when Sega pledged their support.
