thinksecret.com — Like the iMac line that received a Core 2 Duo upgrade in September, the new laptops have seen their wireless cards replaced by a new varient that supports the 802.11n Draft 1.0 networking standard, although Mac OS X drivers are not yet available.

I got a Core2Duo Macbook last week. Let me say this... the wireless reception sucks ass. It's not even close to my wife's iBook, and pales in comparision to the Belkin card in my G4 Tower. This better be fixable with a firmware update!Other than that, this is one kickass machine (doesn't run too hot either 50-60 degree idle).

@kryptobs2000There's a difference between using a 3 button mouse and using a 2 button mouse with a clickable scroll wheel. 3 button mice are an outdated concept, just like track balls on laptops. And by the way, learn the difference between "your" and "you're". I'm no grammar nazi, but putting "your" in the place of "you're" is just plain dumb.

i don't know why Apple install 802.11n in their laptop now. This could increase the price.I think they should include 802.11n in Core 2 Quad laptop not now.

Yay for Apple using an unproven and "unsafe" technology (in the respect it still brings down surrounding B/G networks)! Wonder how many people will complain before they realize they shouldve waited to put it in?

Are you possibly comparing Apple to Lenovo? I'll take that as a no.

Wireless works great for me. My wireless router is all the way across the house (one floor house that is quite stretched out) and I still get between full reception and one bar missing.

does anybody have any workarounds for unlocking 802.11n now?
