I think that it is smart that the whole program doesn't quit when you close a window. Just think, if all of the iApps quit when you press the close window button, you would have to have an iTunes window open all of the time to listen to music, that would be ridiculous even if you minimize the window.
what a crappy site. heres an idea - use a photo hosting site to host photos, not this ThinkSecretCrap that goes down at the drop of a hat. Probably hosted with OSX ;)
@trat.The kernel is not full 64-bit. Leopard is starting to get cheesy, and OS X has hit it's peak. Spaces is not intuitive, I'd prefer if they put something up in the top right like they have in gnome.I think it's time for Mac OS 11.
@alex189a "another feature like expose"Features that add some level of productivity, or ease of use. How about spaces? There's one. Time machine is another, and spotlight's getting new features. You already have dashboard, expose, the dock, zoom capabilities.... what more could you so badly NEED? I've been messing w/ Kororaa w/ xgl and compiz... if you're looking for THAT level of... features you might as well plan on getting nothing done.
Command+Q and Command + W seperation is a beautiful thing. In windows I start photoshop and close it several times a day due to its half arsed view towards window vs application, on my mac its launched in the morning and closed when i leave work.ctrl + W on windows is stupid too, some apps it closes the MDI window, some it closes the holder window, some it does nothing and when composing an email in outlook it turns outlook into word, what nonsense!
The fact that there is a matrix background to the terminal icon makes me question the validity of these images. Could be someone with a nifty photoshop talent.
There's no way that Apple won't update their UI. They won't have their phone's OS make Leopard look old. I think we're gonna see something very close to the iPhone UI, when Leopard finally is released. The menu bar will probably be black with grey writing, like the iPhone's... or something between that and the newest iTunes interface. Having the application's name written, in small, below the icon in the dock, would be helpful, too. I'd expect them to make some use of Core Animation for transitions, windows opening/closing, windows moving, etc.. Already, this year, we've seen a beautiful Vista UI and a sexy iPhone UI... there's no way Apple's going the 5 yr old route.
