telendro.com.es— Google is apparently testing a new UI layout. In this new test Google offers a search by date option to users. Very useful option.

I see two things coming from something like this becoming popular.#1 Instead of letting things become archived, people will start creating scripts/programs to automatically have things deleted, and then reposted on their site every single day so they will always have their link toward the top of the "date/time" searches even though their post is truly an old post even years old. Once this becomes popular and standard, it will become useless and irrelevant and well...you get the picture. The feature will only be good temporarily if it ever becomes popular (ie shows up on the main page of Google instead just an option in advanced features).#2 It will encourage people to keep editing and updating posts/links so that they are always up to date and informative, instead of out of date and useless. This could also potentially clear up some clutter on the internet. For example, instead of posting about the same subject over and over and over again with seperate discussions and links, you may as well focus your time on one specific link and keep revising and updating it, etc. As this evolves, the link in question will simply get better and better instead of being spread out all over the place in different locations. Is it worth it? I don't know...there are both positives and negatives that would come from such a feature even if it is real.
