joystiq.com — The new issue of EGM (February no. 212) has the goods on a few unannounced games according to Gaming Target, namely Guitar Hero: 1980s Edition for the PS2. The title is expected to ship sometime this spring And though a 3-4 month release for an unannounced game seems oddly quick, EGM merely states "trust us, its coming."

this could relate to the downloadable content available to the 360 version - the ps2 gets it on a disk, the 360 people can get it online. i mean, they have to be working on the songs anyways for the downloadable content, might as well slap it on a disk and ship it for all those people with a ps2...

Aw man, for the vice city soundtrack to be a game you'd need to invent "Keytar Hero"

@docdoakIronically, Guitar Hero (1 and 2) already have at least 6 songs from the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Them Bones (San Andreas, Radio X), Strutter (San Andreas, K-DST), Free Bird (San Andreas, K-DST), Killing in the Name (San Andreas, Radio X), Unsung (San Andreas, Radio X), and Mother (San Andreas, Radio X).http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_Hero_IIhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_herohttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_Andreas_soundtrack

Outside of the standard metal, I would love it if it included stuff like Walk Like an Egyptian, Blister in the Sun, and 99 Luftballons.Obviously, I've hit the 80's nostalgia soundtracks a little too hard.
