Wow.... I guess I should have elaborated FFXI is not an evolution to the series because of the far departure it took in comparison to the earlier games. Even though gameplay has changed slightly with each itteration you as the main character played a numbers game while in !! you have no choice but to be in a team. A good one as well because if you are stuck in a bad team you will constantly delevel which stops the game from being fun.... unless you really enjoy a grind that is dependant on the entire team.
