blog.digg.com— Digg has added two new topics to the site. "Microsoft" and a special topic for the "2008 US Elections." There's a brief post on the Digg blog about it. Can't wait to see these fill up.

It went away awhile back. People complained, and there was some talk about bringing it back, but nothing happened. You can draw your own conclusions about the quality of programming at Digg.
Kevin, if you're still perusing this thread, please go check out my comment in this thread: http://www.digg.com/tech_news/Who_Buried_It_is_a_Bad_IdeaI think I may actually be onto something there, because I'm sure you and the rest of the staff have been scratching your heads over this. The idea I came up with there strikes me as being quite workable, and it actually helps the Digg staff to objectively identify the people burying for ideological purposes rather than because the story is legitimate spam. Thanks.
Having seperate sections for Apple and Unix but not MS itself showed that digg was biased. So I see there is no point in arguing about that fact. Again, its good to see digg adding new sections.
How about a digg section on religion/atheism? There are certainly a ton of stories that would fall under the category that don't necessarily fit neatly under any other category. Also, and more importantly, this would let me filter out all the ensuing arguments out. :p
