Maybe they want to cater to those people that think several workspaces are confusing, and that there should only be one desktop. They exist, I have met them. I don't understand them though.
Dugg for at least admitting it's like CoverFlow/Flip3d.I hate it when the community sometimes says "new innovation! It's amazing! Never been done before!"
OK people, just letting you know that the_only_way to use colorfilter is to load the colorfilter files that came with the plugin or in this repo : git://git.opencopositing.org/users/smspillaz/colorfilters , you have to type the full path of the file in the string list. Please dont hammer me for my typo's in the compiz fusion blog as I pushed it out earlier than usual. Thanks
innovation? The fact that compiz-fusion combines all the desktop effects from every major OS, makes them more beautiful and useful, then adds functionality and effects that other OS's don't have (the cube), enables you to customize it till your eyes fall out, and combines it in one awesome package is in innovation in itself. Go Compiz-fusion

What's particularly bad about Flip3D? It is just another way of switching windows.
