'exceedingly weak' is an understatement to describe an effect that gets lost in statistical noise when you have a sample of over half a million :)

Wait, you mean correlation is not the same as causation?I would like to think that all these studies that are done are done well enough to block these kinds of obvious lurking variables

I'd love to see them put Coke without corn syrup back on the market. I bet it is delicious. Regular coke is awesome as a tasty once in a while treat. Drinking soda as a beverage with every meal or all day is a terrible idea. Americans can't do diddly in moderation.

It's about the calories sir. Same caffeine, less calories. I love the stuff myself, that and Vault Zero.Bring on the splenda powered drinks please, aspartame scares me but I still drink it anyway :(

Actually, have also found Aspartame in Cherry Yogurt. http://www.foodessentials.com/compare/Yogurt_-_Pea ... - actually there is usually at least 1 product with aspartame in each type of yogurt

It would be nice, but economically unsound, seeing that:1) High fructose corn syrup is much cheaper than sucrose in the United States.2) Most people are just fine with high fructose corn syrup in their drink, since it's all they know.3) Because of fact #1, sucrose-based drinks would be significantly more expensive than their corn syrup-based counterparts, an expense that would undoubtedly be passed on to consumers in the middle of one of the worst economic situations in modern history.Case and point: No massive soft drink manufacturer in their right mind would switch to sucrose because of the financial ramifications.

Because of Vitamin D supplements put into milk and other dairy products, sun exposure is wholly unnecessary for a healthy lifestyle.

There is too much sugar in it and knowing too much of something is bad, we should lessen or moderate our soda intake.
