You say I do not think from the point of view of the doctor, but what about the quality of life for the child? My mother is a labor and delivery nurse and has told me many of times about these issues. Like I said, it comes with the job and she does what she thinks is best for the patient in the long term, not for God. I don't think you understand what a pregnancy scare is like as a girl or being denied emergency contraceptive, do you? It's scary and when people refuse to help you and call you a whore because the condom broke. So if this girl, denied emergency contraceptive then wants to abort a child she cannot raise, but is denied once again. What is she to do? I am not sure you know your history either, because the U.S. has had problems in the past with women using wire hangers instead, many times resulting in their own death. If someone really wants to abort a baby, they are going to do it regardless, so why not make it safe.
