I know at least 10 windows users who would buy it, as long as the drivers for Vista and XP gave them the same features I get on my Macbook Pro... Everyone raves about the multi-touch gestures.I for one would be willing to try a mouse that had a track pad (multi-touch) on top... Sounds like a good idea. Other than gaming, I never pull out my bluetooth mouse... I love the new trackpad... it's handy.
How is a mouse too slow? Surely, multi-touch finger recognition would take more resources and have a longer lag. Not to mention, the fingers very large, and the cursor is very small. I believe that touch will be the hallmark of user interfaces to come, but desktop computing is designed for a mouse. I really don't think that anyone using a computer for more than 20 minutes would really rather have a touchscreen than a mouse. If they did, Tablets would have caught on long ago.
