I'm glad they are using the term "energy independence" instead of "solving global warming" because energy independence is something that more people in American can understand and feel and when its marketed correctly maybe we can get the progressive candidates a few more votes from independents, and some conservatives. Shouting about global warming to a conservative causes the same effect as when a some conservatives start shouting about terrorism. So lets not loose site on common agendas even though we may have different reasons for wanting to solve them.
