excellent choices

Bah. Dreadful choices. Five of the new wonders are largely in ruins (a significant departure from the spirit of the original seven)...and if we're picking the ruins of the ancient world, excluding the Acropolis is unpardonable. People should have favored their own age, as the ancients did theirs. The engineering behind any random modern apartment building, is more sophisticated and impressive than anything on this list.

oh bad, not selected Pyramid, the popularity of new 7 wonder will be surely decreased. In my view the 7 wonders are http://digg.com/world_news/The_New_Seven_Wonders_of_the_World_3

The colosseum, a site of slavery and suffering. The Rio Christ is a bad sculpture, though the "gothic cathedral" should have been included. Reims perhaps. The Acropolis and Tombuctu should be in the place of these 2. Other 5 choices OK. As for Portugal, the whole small country is a beauty in it's own right. Great idea.
