Look on the white label on the side of the XBox 360 packaging. It will list the "Lot #" and the "Team". You'll be looking for a lot number greater than or equal to "0723" AND team "FGUA."If it does not meet that criteria, check the MFR date through the flap on the box. I've had my system since January '06 without so much as a falter. My 360's ventilation isn't anything special. It isn't cramped or anything but I don't have fans blowing on it either. Also about the "fans": I've heard some nasty things about the Nyko Intercooler (<a class="user" href="http://gaming.engadget.com/2006/10/27/nyko-intercooler-scorches-xbox-360-consoles/).">http://gaming.engadget.com/2006/10/27/nyko-intercooler-scorches-xbox-360-consoles/).</a> Just keep your 360 dusted and don't be stupid about where you put it.
