They weren't introduced at WWDC, so you might as well pick another date to "confirm" this rumour... hmm, summer works!

@Ireland, those are great mock-ups. I like the last one best. Side note, it's extremely gratifying to see I'm not the only one thinking Apple will go this route!

I trust Apple to make a remodeled iMac look very nice, but frankly I like the look of the current line. I think the white frame allows the screen colors to 'pop' more than a darker frame and the white also allows the iMac to draw less attention to itself, at least in my house. Of course if the hardware inside is significantly improved that's another thing.Shame about their predictions of the mini's death. I might just get one for a little web/ftp server while I can.

iMacs have most of the disadvantages of a laptop without any of the benefits. I don't understand why anyone would buy one instead of a mini or desktop along with a nice monitor that they could use beyond their current computer's lifecycle. They only seem to further the idea that people who own Macs either A. care more about form than function or B. are too stupid to plug in anything beyond a power cord, a keyboard, and a mouse.

Every iMac I've used has crashed continually, and consistently. They are complete trash.

"Within two years, sitting down at a computer with only a mouse and a keyboard will seem as quaint as sitting down to a machine now with a floppy drive or a ball-mouse."Hahaha. They've been saying that ever since touch screens were invented. While I agree the technology and interfaces are definitely maturing (iPhone + MS Surface as prime examples), it's still not going to be the 'HURR LOOK AT UR STOOPID KEYBOARD' anytime soon.
