focus.aps.org — Superman can't see through lead with his x-ray vision, but if he could see with neutrons he'd do better. Neutrons can penetrate dense materials, and in the 2 June PRL, researchers describe a simple, 3-D imaging technique that does not require a high-quality neutron beam.

One little problem...aren't neutrons what they shoot at atoms to cause them to fission?

Hmm, so if these neutrons were to allow us to see THROUGH lead, why can't we see the titanium rod directly behind the lead wire towards the front?

It won't be for medical diagnostic imagery anytime soon ;)

because it's a 3D model... You're not looking at what the neutron beam sees, you're looking at the 3D model of the whole subject, I believe.

Are you people f**king retarded? Why the f**k would you mod down a valid question and its correct answer? Digg moderation sucks.
