vanityfair.com — Neoconservatives led by former chairman of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee Richard Perle and former Pentagon insider Kenneth Adelman tell Vanity Fair that they blame the "dysfunctional" Bush administration for the "disaster" in Iraq and say that if they had it to do over again they would not advocate an invasion of Iraq.

Yes I would be comfortable in writing all those inflammatory remarks. There are bad seeds in all groups, but for the people concerning in this digg story, I will refer to them as piece of s**t jews.My question to you is, why are you so interested in what I have to say? Haven't you noticed a lot of peopel write inflammatory remarks on digg, yet you pressed your time on mine. Why?

Well my pizza delivery just arrived, so I can no longer continue this farce. Yet, I must say, I appreciate your dedication. If you want further this inquiry, read my blog, bye.

Just curious, Azur2, seeing as you appear to be saying that you were on the same side as these guys, just when did it become "obvious" to you that things were going down the toilet? Because, if you're a newly-minted self-loathing, Bush-distancing Republican, the whole going-down-the-toilet scenario was pretty obvious to your political opponents and, indeed, the vast majority of sentient life on rest of the planet well before this whole thing kicked off in the first place. I also find it slightly suspect that your moral code allows you to pat yourself on the back for not turning on Bush when it's now becoming popular to do so while your justification for turning your back on him is predicated entirely on his failure to implement his policies effectively as opposed to questioning the validity of those policies in the first place. You know, like all those people who protested the war *before* it started, when it was deeply unpopular and indeed dangerous to question this administration's right to stomp all over a foreign regime for no discernible reason beyond some transparently false concern about an oppressive dictatorship. I'd apologise in advance for mis-characterising you if I've read this completely the wrong way but I consider polite disclaimers to be, simultaneously, the truest expression and greatest weakness of a liberal mindset. Rational fair-mindedness, empathy and an openness to potentially innocent alternative scenarios are generally a provocation to violent attack by your average Republican. Who now proclaims Bush to be a moron with the same unshakable self-belief in their own rightness as they had when they were calling for the Dixie Chicks' heads on a spike.

Cute...but simplistic.

That is kind of the crux of the whole argument, isn't it. Worse is the mealy mouth Dems and moderate Republicans went along to get along so they would not be attacked as bein soft on terror, and unpatriotic. How many people in Congress granted the blank check to the president because they hve no backbone, and were scared they might lose their little bit of power by standing on their principals and doing the right thing?
