Ossetia is a province of Georgia. It isn't a part of Russia, it is a province within the political boundaries of Georgia.BTW, Georgia is the largest non-US force in Iraq supporting the US, they are about to join Nato and the EU.

South Ossetia has been separate from Georgia for over a decade now. That is why they have Russian peace keepers in their area, to protect them from Georgians.
