Please, please, PLEASE take it back to classic dude, or at least offer the option. You'll notice that alot of people in this thread agree: "it was awesome when it came out but I lost interest after the changes", "please bring back classic", etc. Give the people what they want, and we'll reward you with real american dollars. Do it for the kids!

This is awesome. I'd like to see larger maps with bigger areas.

Yeah you got it chaimpot0k. It would be nice to continue giving games away for free, but I can tell you that after 4 years of development with only donations for income...there has to be a better way. We think that better way is Steam. We're listening to you guys and yes, we'll be focusing on the main "ns" type gameplay, not deathmatch or Combat. :)

Good to know. While the idea behind combat (making NS playable with fewer than 12 people) was good, it just destroyed team play on a lot of the servers I visited regularly. Can't wait to see things moving forward on NS2.

My life is complete. Well, it will be when I get to play NS2. I'm so happy. I'm ready to cry...Anyone planning on trying to make maps for NS2 and do you think maps similar to the big ones (ns_eclipse, ect ect) will be made right away? I am in the mood for some newer maps, ones we haven't seen.

to those bitching about the history of charlie's sporadic updates, well, the constellation system was probably the only source of revenue for the project, and once that got hacked and taken down, i think he had more administrative issues to deal with than the website, namely generating stopgap games to make cash (that sudoku one). As for combat, if you do not like it do not play it, that's what i do. sure some servers jumped ship to co since it generated more players, but expanding the player base is good for everyone, considering the crossover co will breed to the ns gamemode.
