No, it is not stronger than you thought. Means all of the other HS teams in NC must be pretty worthless. Would never happen in a deep state like Ohio. Elder might be the 4th best team in their league. You cannot win that many straight in states like Ohio, Texas, or Florida.
You forget to mention St. Xavier who is ranked #4 in the nation and just destroyed the #5 ranked team DeMatha 28 - 7. In Cincinnati there is the GCL league that has St. Xavier, Elder, Moeller, and LaSalle. The GCL is considered one of the top leagues in the nation.
I played for Independence 01-02, when the team was at its peak. The teams in the past few years are nothing compared to the years when Leak, Railey, and Crowe were there. I'm not surprised that they lost.
