powercowwhat the hell are you talking about? how is a bullet proof vest (or any other form of armour) going to run out of power? Did you even read the article?
Tungsten's density is similar to gold (a typical sized bar of gold weighs 77 pounds a bar of Tungsten about the same). If the body armor has the same amount of material as a (flattened) bar of Tungsten then that's too heavy to be practical. The Titanium Disulfide would be better. Very interesting!
"I consistently post the same stories ahead of others, but don't get the diggs:What am I doing wrong?" - sanmanThink about it a while.. Now, I'll let you into a secret; What is the first thing a Digg user sees? That's right, the title. Now compare...A: "Indestructible Armor from Inorganic Fullerenes"B: "NanoArmour - 5x Stronger Than Steel"Does that answer your question?Study newspapers and other highly Dugg articles on this site and practice.Good Luck!
Wow. Doesn't it seem suspicious that the Israeli's are creating this? And knowing the u.s., we're just gonna buy 'em up like hotcakes, and just pull us a little bit closer to the conflict on the Gaza strip.
Nah, I always try to go for a good title. What was wrong with my title? I thought A sounded better than B. And besides, I posted it way ahead of this one. I should've got way more hits than what I got.
I'm thinking that because this is presented as journalism, it is dishonest marketing. The closing line on all these IsraCast summaries of inventions that will soon be great but aren't anything yet includes a variation on: "With external investment we're going to have a breakthrough product that makes everyone who invested rich."The "journalist" is willingly avoiding any hard questions, doesn't compare any competing products, ignores other developments in the field, focuses only on the fantastic possibilities, and isn't citing any independent fact finding outside of asking the guy who wants the money. This is because the "journalist" is effectively a paid for marketer.Just search for IsraCast on slashdot or something with longer archives than digg.Who remembers this wild speculation of how 50 year old failed (a couple dozens of times by other people) technology is suddenly going to have an Israeli led breakthrough?http://digg.com/gadgets/LIKE_A_FISH_UNDER_WATER_new_way_to_breath_under_water_without_oxygen_tanks
