Okay so rebates are not okay? Then why don't they just sell them at a lower price? As for the rest, Intel has the best products they are just being douchebags for undercutting weaker competitors. But still I would rather see lower prices, not money in New York's treasury.

Rebates are okay. Providing bonuses to retailers and OEMs who ditch AMD is anti-competitive. And being anti-competitive when you're a monopoly is abuse of monopolistic power. And that is illegal.

Yea, that is like saying MS Windows doesn't hold a monopoly position because everyone has the choice to use Linux, but really? Do they?

So how did they account for these transactions in the books? Did people rely on falsified accounting statements to make investment decisions? I know it is all an elaborate game, but none the less, I am very interested to find out if major corporations cooked the books, and who the external auditors, for those corporations, are.
