thinkprogress.org — Yesterday, the Drudge Report revealed that the New York Times had rejected a draft op-ed by Sen. John McCain. The right wing rushed to defend McCain yesterday claiming that it was part of an unprecedented conspiracy. But yesterday on CNN, it was revealed that that even as a sitting president, Bill Clinton had ?many? op-eds rejected by the Times.

Hey there thinker...you are reading people's comments which are supposed to stay in context. In this case, Einstein, we are talking about the rejection of McCain's op-ed, not policy. Fuse together a brain cell or two, then join us. Otherwise, shut the f(&^ up. Thanks!!Obama '08. Otherwise we end up with a dufus who pretends to be like Reagan and acts like shrub.

And how do you "win" a 100-year occupation?

Can I just to everyone...just because you haven't heard a lot of good stuff about "your candidate" in the msm does not mean they are "liberal" or "conservative". There are both in the msm, so listen to whom you would like. Stop whining. The fact is, McGramps is going to lose, and it doesn't matter why. And in reality, the NYT just asked him to get specific. It doesn't matter whether or not he can remember what he wrote. Re-read, then re-write with specifics. Well, and then, I am sure Rove will be happy to write it for you...

Holy s**t you're thick. My point is (as you stated) we are not talking about policy. Its just dumb ass whining from people who are offended for no reason.

Who was the last presidential candidate to be rejected by the NYT? Clinton doesn't count. He was president; not a candidate. They probably rejected him so he wouldn't embarrass himself.

Then how did Obama get in?

That's funny, now the liberals (of which I am one) are starting to use the "bbbut Clinton..."
