phoronix.com — Linux SLI is still far from perfect, but in this article we've used two GeForce 8600GT graphics cards in an SLI configuration under both Linux and Windows to compare the single and dual GPU performance under both operating systems.

No, I'd say more like putting it in a Volvo. Linux has it's roots in being a server. If you need rock solid, dependable get you data from A to B, Linux is perfect. From my perspective, running a high-end graphics card for game play on a Linux box is like tricking out a Volvo with those chrome spinning hubcaps.

Lol, actually, Windows is the '82 Ford. It's just a Ford with store-shelves full of add-ons, kick-ass stereo systems, an infinite variety of fuzzy dice, etc. Linux is better tech. So is OSX, btw. Windows is in last place, among the major OSes, it just doesn't have as much third-party software support. I'm no hard-core gamer, but I do game on Linux. I won't dual boot this crate - I'd buy a new console before I put Windows on here. Microsoft has been found to be a monopoly on two continents, I can't support such a company even though it would be convenient to do so sometimes.

Being a technical support engineer of web hosting providers I would like to say Linux is one the best operating systems which is widely used in the web hosting industry. Just take a look at the web hosting companies placed at my web page - www.andreyknure.narod.ru All these companies use Linux to manage their servers.

Yeah? Whats wrong with how I put it there? My English almost certainly is better than your fat, American, bastardised, linux-eating fanboy version of it. Now back to being shafted by the penguin 'Ademan'.

Which is why I only buy games that either run native on Linux, or work with wine, and I always send a message to the company telling them that I only purchased it because I could play it on Linux. So far there have been very few games that I've skipped purchasing because I couldn't play them.
