wired.com — The NSA has denied clearance to the DOJ, in an effort to investigate the Bush administrations illegal use of wiretaps. It appears that the NSA now has a sort of pocket veto power when it comes to any investigation involving domestic(or otherwise) spying albeit legal or not.

I don't doubt that he will be out of the office at the end of his term... but he will be replaced by yet another member of the oligarchy, whose job will only be easier.

"I don't think that the terrorists just gave up. I think they would love to continue to terrorize us and our way of life."Man, you really swallowed that 'terrorists just hate us because we're a free democracy' BS hook, line and sinker, huh? It's that kind of blind faith in the benevolence of our government that's turning the country into a facist state. For those of you not up on yout vocab, The American Heritage Dictionary describes facism as "A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."That's George Bush, man... and opinions such as the one you shared above are his ready supply of 'belligerent nationalism', so thanks for doing your part to UNDO everything that the veterans of WWII died fighting against.

"...it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.%u201D~Hermann GoeringLeading Member of Nazi Party

"I'm all for allowing the president to protect us. Only law breakers need fear this."So the president is "protecting us" by spying on innocent Americans and breaking the law, not to mention the constitution he swore to uphold? That's an interesting and stupid theory. Please, tell me more. As soon as you pry your lips off the president's rectum, I mean.

This is the most corrupt, criminal, immoral, evil and stupid Administration ever. It contains 16 members of the PNAC, who in their "Rebuilding America's Defenses" in 2000 said they wanted to invade Iraq to gain hegemony in the MidEast. These demonic subhumans set up 9/11. Bush, stupid cretin that he is, was probably not told the whole truth. They had decades of warnings and a "summer of threat". The system works fine; it's been taken over by a ruthless elite class. Actually, this nation has never had a democracy the way the Constitution provided for; even 1/2 the founders didn't want that much power in the hands of the People, as it would interfere w/ their business investments. They're not trying to catch terrorists; they are the terrorists. They're monitoring to see who's figuring out who they really are, and to lock down dissent. FEMA was created to impose Martial Law, not help out w/ disasters- one of the things its charter mentions is this might need to be imposed if there's widespread public opposition to foreign invasions. All this over oil- and did you see the Fox vid interview on here in tech with the guy who makes fuel that can power cars from WATER? He better watch his back, this medieval Satan-worshipping cabal wants to stab it. They keep on killing the human beings, but the gene pool keeps on producing more. They're gonna lose in the end. Damn, sometimes I'm sorry God's a forgiver- they deserve to die painful deaths and be resurrected to die more, ad infinitum. How do you even punish the kind of people who would set up a 9/11? Our Republic is in the crisis of its lifehttp://www.911revealingthetruth.org

No government branch or agency should have that much power- period.
