The rest of the world has been doing this with serious games for years. Of course, with joke sports like "Basketball" you don't really need great players - anyone can do a good job, just throw a ball through a hoop!
Exactly, it's as if they watched the sport for a month like 5 years ago and just use the same ratings for every year. It's stupid beccause if a player was hot for most of one year and then was a bust for the rest of their career, they'll be listed as good as they were when they were hot for the next 5 years.
