iht.com — Longtime JPL scientists, many of whom do not work on classified materials, including rover drivers and Apollo veterans, sued NASA, Caltech, and the Department of Commerce today to fight highly invasive background checks, which include financial information, any and all retail business transactions, and even sexual orientation.

Yes, ****, I have the right to know that you are not part of a group trying to destroy my way of life. Oh wait, you are. It's called being a f**king dumbass liberal. Your husband applied to a job in Homeland f**king Security! He should have every little detail of his life, and the lives of every close person in his life scrutinized if he is charged with protecting his country. My security means so much more than your crime-filled past, assh**e. Do you even know what "security" means? I'm sure you support Aldrich Ames, too. He was a swell guy that did such a service for his country.

JUST SAY NO.I have been "required" to take a drug test on several jobs I had ( Intel and some others ), Even though I not a druggie, I simply refuse. I have never lost a job due these actions. If everyone refuses, the testing will go away.

I don't want just any assh**e working with my taxpayer money. Maybe a background check will help weed out the bad apples and protect the integrity of a respectable agency.

When they try to take my legal weapons or harm my family they will have to kill me. Each of us can join the local militia. You do not necessarily have to hold the same political views to be a member and stand ready to defend your rights. Until then, I do various things in my community to promote peace and the anti war movement. What do you do? Look for new and varied ways to get your nose further up Bush's ass?My son and all other Marines and people in the armed forces signed up to defend American against enemies foreign and domestic. The ONLY enemies we have are the ones in Washington trying to kill our constitutional rights. The armed services shouldn't be in Iraq. They should be home defending the country from the mass murdering dictator in office.BTW, YOU talk a lot. How many of your children are in Iraq? Furthermore, a spouses religion, ex husband and finances from BEFORE marriage are not things the government needs to know in order to ensure that a potential employee isn't a desperate spy. Grow the hell up. If people like you weren't so cowardly and afraid of imaginary threats our country might not be in the position it's in now.

Ahahahah ahahahahahahahaahahhahaaha If you're worried about tax dollars then why don't you fight them to be used for universal healhcare instead of killing people. How about fighting corporate welfare. Children are going to be hungry but oil companies get welfare. Fight the tax cuts for the rich and demand your taxes be used for infrastructure. You're not worried about tax dollars. If you were, the last things you'd worry about is a background check.

You forgot about the part where they DON'T TELL YOU what they're looking up on you. Of course you wouldn't see anything happening.

Why should NASA workers be treated any differently to all other American citizens?

No wonder we're losing our edge.
