mercurynews.com — Mystery Spot at Sana Cruz is no mystery, just "Scientific psychology". Even some people have felt dizzy or sick after visiting the old cabin. Since the house is tilted 17 degrees creates illusions such as balls rolling upwards...but the ball is actually rolling on a 5 degree slope downhill.

>if this is THE mystery spot (the same one a girl did an oral report on) then its alot more than just the >house. according to her, trees grow away from the spot, animals don't go into it, and all kinds of other >stuff like that.yeah that's this one. They do a few things outside first and point out that the trees start growing weird at a certain area. Then they show the shack part. It's somewhat interesting. But it's like a 5 minute tour for something you have to go out of your way to see. But you do get cool bumper stickers. (I got one in the back window of my car... I sure as hell ain't gonna put a bumper sticker actually ON my car).

When I was there, I argued more than once with the guide about how the "phenomena" were just illusions. Probably ruined the experience of a few paying customers. Felt like an ass afterward.

I love the Caesey Stengle like comment of the tour guide:``Still, just because you understand something doesn't mean you understand it.''

The oregon vortex sucks compared to the san jose mystery spot.
