rawstory.com — Shortly before 10 am on the morning of September 11, 2001, amid rumors of a fourth hijacked plane headed for Washington, DC, a mystery aircraft appeared in restricted airspace over the White House. There has never been an official explanation for this incident, which has provided abundant fuel for 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Let's take your statement as fact for argument sake. "So clearly it knew that the planes were off course....."Describe in specific details about what type of warning to issue, what action to take and how to issue it to New Yorkers. Keep in mind planes occasionally are off course and pre-911 no one could imagine suicide commercial airline attacks. So go ahead pre-911 attitude what do you say?

I'd always believed that U.S. airspace was well protected and that U.S. military jets could and would be scrambled at a moments notice to deal with any threat within the airspace. This personal belief, I think, was because I thought NORAD could do just about anything airspace-wise. So I was shocked -- and still am -- that on September 11, 2001 U.S. fighter jets and U.S. bombers were not blanketing U.S. airspace. Even if the fighter jets couldn't have, in the end, done anything to stop the horrible tragedy and utter destruction and loss of life on September 11, 2001, I expected an all-out U.S. military jet air presence -- the United States of America was under attack from ?????, so it seems logical to me that the U.S. military air defense would be visibly active in the sky. I don't care about broken windows because fighter jets will break the sound barrier over land -- windows can be replaced. I don't care if keeping the fighter jets and bombers in the air costs US $1,000,000.00 per hour -- worry about paying for it after the crisis is over. I don't care if U.S. Air Force General W isn't speaking to USN Admiral X who doesn't like U.S. Army General Y who's ignoring U.S. Marine Corps General Z -- when a threat to the United States of America surfaces and the word "air" is involved, I as a citizen of the United States of America, expect and want (a) the command leadership to drop their differences of opinion and (b) put our U.S. military fighter jets and U.S. military refuelers and U.S. military bombers and U.S. military helicopters in the air see what is going on and to be prepared to deal with any threat in U.S. airspace.

As one can see, the essence of this story reeks of heroin, meth, cocaine, pot and rawstory aficionados.

its only logical to you because you have no knowledge of facts. Planes are intercepted all the time. They need not be shot down to be intercepted. All the planes on 9/11 should have been intercepted. Whether it would have changed anything is beside the point...

con?spir?a?cy??[kuhn-spir-uh-see] ?noun. An evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.the?o?ry??[thee-uh-ree, theer-ee] ?noun.A proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural.Given these definitions I'd say we're all conspiracy theorists no matter what we believe.
